Description
What if you bought a different Christmas tree this year?
Buying a Christmas tree this year is a way to influence and participate in climate action
The tree first brings beauty and joy indoors and continues its life later as a planted tree in the wild
- Buy a tree seedling from a garden store or well-stocked flower shop.
- Plant the tree in a pot, decorate and take it indoors during the seasonal holidays
- Plant the tree in an authorized place in nature after holidays (and when the ground is not frozen)
- The Christmas tree’s home or future planting location is added to the map on our websites
Certificate is printed on beautiful paper made by hand in Finnish Lapland (www.paperivalo.fi ). This is our way to support the preservation of domestic craftsmanship.
The location of the tree will also be added to the Love Forest map
The story of the tree will be written on a certificate if desired and shared on the Love Forest social media sites.
Take a picture of the tree planting, share it on your social media account and add #loveforestfinland @rakkaudenmetsa to it.
By planting the Tree of Love and paying for a certificate, you join the Love Forest community and presumably protect nature.
Ten euros (10€) of each certificate is donated to protect old forests ( Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation )
You can easily find trees to be planted in reasonable prices in garden shops.
You can add to the story an invitation to a forest excursion to the recipient of the gift – the story continues when you plant the tree together
Prices include postage and handling fees in Europe as well as 25,5% VAT.
In case you don´t want to have a printed certificate, you can purchase: an electronic certificate. Please, note that electronic certificate can not be printed.
