💚Sometimes the simplest moments are the most memorable ones.
🏡We invite you to explore the authentic atmosphere of a small, 100-year-old rural house surrounded by a garden and a forest, with a well and a sauna in the yard.
🏡Little red rural houses in the countryside are known as “grandma’s cottages” and can be found all over Finland. They are not summer cottages by the lake, but are usually found in small rural communities.
🏡Apparently, these little houses got their name because women in rural areas often outlived their husbands and lived alone in them after becoming widows.
🌲We invite you to visit the little rural house with a different story, as it was rented to forest workers, and now renovated respecting the forest theme, honouring the forest heroes who once lived there.
🌲We also invite you for a peaceful forest walk, to experience nature with all your senses and to connect with nature. On this nature trip, we are more silent than loud. We visit nature in a way that takes into account the well-being of both the individual and nature.
🌲The visit can be accompanied by tree planting following the Love Forest Finland concept, designed in a regenerative way.
🏡We drink coffee in the warmth of the small house and travel back a hundred years in our minds with the story of the house.
🏡The rural house is located in a small village, an hour’s drive from Helsinki.
We regenerate
The house and its operations have been and will be developed in a regenerative way, together with the local rural community and respecting the place and its nature.
We cooperate with entrepreneurs in the area, for example, in terms of food services, well-being services and artists.
